Can your app do this?
Members book tee times, keep score and get reminders in an app with your course's name on it. Your staff tell the assistant what to send — a twilight push, a range-ball deal, today's cart rules — and approve it in one tap. Live in both app stores in two weeks.
Built for the person behind the counter, not a marketing department. If it needs a dedicated hire to run, we didn't build it.
Works with any tee sheet and point of saleThe copilot — your AI assistant in the portal
The copilot lives on the portal's home screen and reads your app's real data — your golfers, your events, your offers, what's already scheduled. Ask for a push, an offer, a news post or an answer, and it comes back with a finished draft and a preview. Nothing is created or sent until you tap Approve.
Pushes, offers, news posts, FAQs and events, written from a one-line ask in your course's voice, with the dates, limits and links already filled in.
Registered and active golfers, what's scheduled this week, what golfers are saying in feedback — asked and answered without opening a report.
It has every feature's guide and the real member-support scripts, so "I can't log in" and "where's the app" get the right answer on the first try.
Every create, change or send pauses for your approval. It only sees what the signed-in person is allowed to see, and view-only staff can't trigger changes at all.
Off your staff's plate
Most of what a pro shop does for its golfers is repetitive. Slate automates the repetitive part and leaves your team the part that needs a person.
| Before | With Slate | Who does it now |
|---|---|---|
| Calling the Saturday tee sheet to confirm groups | Reminder push goes to every golfer an hour before their time, with an optional second reminder the day before | Automatic |
| Scrambling to refill a cancelled prime-time slot | Waitlisted golfers are alerted by push, text or email with a link straight to the booking | Automatic |
| Answering "are carts on the path today?" forty times | Conditions posted once show in the app; the copilot can post them from a sentence | One approval |
| Writing the weekly promo email and the push to go with it | Copilot drafts the offer and the push from your real data; you edit a word and approve | One approval |
| Fielding dress-code and booking-window questions at the counter | Answered once in the app's FAQ, and surfaced by the copilot when a member asks staff | Automatic |
| Walking a member through a login problem by phone | Copilot runs the support script — search the account, check the flow, reset — in the order that fixes it fastest | Guided |
| Training a new hire on the admin | A 30-second video and a written guide for every feature, inside the portal, plus a copilot that answers "how do I" | Self-serve |
Revenue
An app only pays for itself if it changes behavior. These are the levers Slate puts in your hands — and keeps pulling when your staff are busy.
A reminder lands on every phone before the round, with your own wording. Groups that were going to forget show up; groups that can't make it cancel early enough to resell the time.
Prime-time demand that used to bounce off a full sheet goes on the waitlist instead. When a time opens, the people who wanted it hear first — and you see who booked.
Twilight rates, range-ball deals and loyalty rewards, with expiry dates and per-golfer limits, redeemed at the counter and tracked. The copilot drafts them in seconds, so slow Tuesdays get a promotion instead of a shrug.
News, events with RSVPs, a scorecard they use every round, and a feed that's theirs. An app on the home screen is a club they open weekly, not an email they archive.
Registered golfers, active this month, feedback ratings, push delivery stats and waitlist reach are on the dashboard — and one question away in the copilot.
Marketing Plus courses can sell a "Sponsored by" spot on the app's home screen to a local partner — a line of revenue the app creates on its own.
And for your golfers
Booking runs through your existing online portal, so tee times, payments and member rules behave exactly as they do today — whichever tee sheet you use. Everything else is new.
Where this is going
Today it drafts, answers and troubleshoots. Each release puts it to work on more of the day-to-day, with the same rule every time: it proposes, your staff approve. Every course on Slate gets new capabilities as they ship, with no setup on your side.
Our aim is a portal where the question is never "how do I do this" but "should I approve this" — and where the answer is usually yes.
How it works
We walk through what your app could look like, confirm your tee sheet setup and answer every question.
Most courses pick their club colors and a photo of their favorite hole. We build the app and set up your App Store and Google Play listings.
Your app goes live in both stores. Your staff sign in, ask the copilot for the first push, approve it, and they're trained. We stay on call.
What our courses say
"This has been a game changer. Its ease of use is remarkable, making it a breeze for our players to book tee times. This has significantly eased the workload on our golf shop staff."
"The app excels in rapidly sharing information with our members, simplifying billing, and making tee time bookings more efficient. I'm particularly impressed with the customer support, which has been exceptional in every aspect."
We republish your existing listing as a Slate app so your golfers keep the same icon on their phones. Most switches take under a week, and your staff get the copilot on day one.
Frequently asked questions
Like your course. You choose the colors, logo and home-screen photo in the Branding screen of the portal, and the live app picks the changes up the next time it opens. The app is published under your course's name on both stores.
Yes — that's the design goal of the new portal. Every feature has a short video and a written guide built in, and the copilot can draft pushes, offers and news for you. We're still a call or an email away.
Yes. We integrate inside the booking button, so the app sits on top of your existing online portal no matter which provider runs it. Booking rules, member pricing and payments behave exactly as they do on the web, and golfers register in the app with the same email they use for online booking.
Payments go through your existing online channels. If you take payment at the time of reservation online, the app does the same — nothing new to reconcile.
iPhone and Android, published to the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Only your app's data, scoped to the signed-in staff member's role. Anything that creates, changes or sends something pauses for approval. View-only accounts can ask questions but can't trigger changes.
More AI in the portal. The copilot already drafts and answers; each release puts it to work on more of the day-to-day so running the app takes less of your staff's time. Every course on Slate gets new features as they ship, at no extra setup.
Courses we surveyed reported an average 13× return on what they spent with us, mostly from tee-time bookings, reminders that cut no-shows and offers that bring golfers back. We'll show you the numbers behind that on the call.
Book a 20-minute call and we'll show you a preview with your logo and colors on it.
